This page is meant to be readable without a login. It is Berkly’s privacy policy, not Atlassian’s.
Controller / vendor: Berkly N.V., Sint Pieterstraat 34, Kerkrade, the Netherlands
Privacy contact: berkkarabacak@gmail.com (use this address until berkly.nl mail is restored)
This policy covers personal data processed when you install or use our Atlassian Forge apps from the Atlassian Marketplace, starting with JQL Extensions Library.
Our Forge apps run on Atlassian’s platform. They do not send customer data to Berkly servers or to any other host outside Atlassian. We do not sell personal data. We do not use advertising or analytics pixels.
JQL Extensions Library adds JQL functions to Jira Cloud. When a user searches, a Forge handler returns a JQL fragment (for example a date condition). Jira then evaluates that fragment under the searching user’s permissions. The handler does not read issue fields, comments, attachments, or user profiles on the query path.
Scopes used: read:app-data:jira and write:app-data:jira (Jira’s JQL function precomputation cache only). The app does not request read:jira-work or read:jira-user.
What we store:
Later paid apps (for example Document Exporter) may store app configuration or templates in Forge app storage on Atlassian’s platform. Those apps still have no egress to Berkly or other third parties unless a future listing says otherwise. Each listing will link back here.
We process this data to provide the app you (or your site admin) installed, to meet Atlassian Marketplace review requirements, and to handle support requests you send us. Where GDPR applies, the legal bases are performance of a contract and legitimate interests in operating and supporting the app.
We do not share customer Jira data with anyone. The infrastructure sub-processor is Atlassian (Forge runtime and storage). Atlassian’s processing is covered by your Atlassian Cloud agreement and the Atlassian Trust Center.
Berkly N.V. has no other subprocessors for these apps.
The apps do not transfer customer data out of Atlassian. Data residency follows the customer’s Atlassian Cloud site.
Because JQL Extensions Library does not keep a customer database, there is nothing for Berkly to erase on request beyond support email you chose to send us. Uninstalling the app removes its Forge installation and any Atlassian-managed precomputations for its functions.
Support emails we receive are kept only as long as needed to handle the request, then deleted.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority (in the Netherlands: Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens). For JQL Extensions Library, most of those rights are exercised in your own Jira site, because we do not hold a copy of your issues or users.
To ask us a privacy question, email berkkarabacak@gmail.com.
The apps are for workplace use. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
We will update the date at the top when this policy changes. Material changes will also be noted on this page.
